KCS v6 Practices Certification Study Guide

Education and Reading List

Attending a KCS Foundations Workshop is recommended but not required. The following reading list is strongly recommended:

All documents can be accessed for free.

Exam Topics and Objectives

The exam is based on the documentation listed in the “Education and Reading List” above. No specific product or technology is covered in the exam. Specifics about individual company content standard, roles, workflow and life cycle states that are unique to an organization are not included in the exam.

The exam is based on the generic practices as described in the KCS documentation. The exam was built with the idea of answering the following question: “If you hired someone to manage or advise you on a KCS adoption what would you expect them to know?”

The exam objectives include:

Objectives highlighted in Yellow are new topics in KCS v6. These highlighted items are the topics covered on the KCS v5 to v6 Bridge Exam (for those who hold a KCS v5 Practices Certification).

Hi Ken,

Thanks for the input. There is a Practice Test and you are absolutely right it, there should be a link on the page. The test is in Webassessor http://www.webassessor.com/kcsacademy
We encourage you to take the KCS v6 Practice test prior to taking the exam to get a feel for the format and types of questions. This test is not an indication of how well you will do on the Practices v6 Certification Exam. The Practice Test is a 25 question non-proctored test and you have 1 hour to complete it, the cost is $85.

Is there a way to create this as one whole document in pdf format, rather than clicking into each individual category?

There is no simple way to create a .pdf of the whole document. While we DO NOT recommend downloading this document because it is subject to change at any time, a 249-page, 12MB static pdf is available here http://www.serviceinnovation.org/included/docs/KCS_v6_Practices_Guide_2016_10_05.pdf
